As we celebrate our 35-year anniversary, we’re looking back at our unwavering dedication not just to our customers but also to the broader York community and in particular how we supported the local community during the pandemic.
The world changed dramatically in 2020 when COVID-19 swept across the world, challenging individuals and businesses in unprecedented ways. Amid the crisis, York Press recognised a group of extraordinary locals as York’s “lockdown heroes.” Among them was the volunteer group Covid-19 Visors York, highlighted for their tireless efforts in producing and distributing personal protective equipment (PPE) to frontline key workers.
Throughout the lockdown, Covid-19 Visors York utilised 3D printing technology to create visors, which were crucial in protecting those most vulnerable. In support of this, we offered our facilities as a distribution hub where visors were packed and dispatched to those in need. We were able to do this as ISF continued to operate as essential workers, servicing the animal feed industry.
